Summary:The Senior Citrix Administrator contractor will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining Citrix Xen App and Citrix XenDesktop environments, including core and advanced functionalities of the Citrix XenApp server.Location: Position can be located in Denver CO, New York, NY, or Hightstown NJ.
Process: Telephone and then F2F.


Required Experience and Skills:
Responsibilities:
  • Complex Application Implementation
  • Project management of initial planning, analysis, research, testing and implementation of a variety of Citrix initiatives. 
  • Resolve technical issues as a Tier 2/3 (client side/server side support) technician
  • Triage related system bugs & issues and assist with the maintenance of core SharePoint system functionality
  • Respond to production support Service Requests.
Experience Requirements:
  • Candidates must have at least 7 years of enterprise experience with Citrix Xenapp and Citrix XenDesktop and 10+ yrs experience in a technical support role in an information technology related groups.
  • Computer Science or Business degree.
  • Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) Certification preferred but not required.
  • Masters Degree preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated advanced level experience with the following:
    • Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition
    • Citrix Presentation Server (versions Xpe or above), Windows XP
    • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix technologies – including Web Interface, ICA Web Client, Program Neighborhood agent, Xen Application Server, Application Isolation, Citrix Enterprise features such as Password Manager, Edgesight, etc.
    • Windows Active Directory
    • Microsoft Windows XP
    • Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, including Microsoft Project
    • Use of SharePoint 2007 as a user for document management and WIKI documentation
    • Disk Operating System (DOS) commands
    • Maintaining and administering Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
    • Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Ability to troubleshoot Windows
    • Strong familiarity with DNS and TCP/IP networking.

Job Description:
  • Infrastructure Technical support consultants

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Provides 24/7 technical support to a number of areas such as Data Center Operations, Network Services, Availability Management, Production Management or Application Development, Vendors, etc
  • Provides technical assistance for a number of platforms, during issues and/or outages. Areas to include but are not limited to Mainframe and Distributed business applications, operating systems, hardware components and the network infrastructure.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing process and processing improvements for a number of operational, development and support teams.
  • Performs basic programming/scripting in the distributed environments
  • Composes and reviews documentation supporting operational processes and service restoration.
  • Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications in the WebSphere Application Server and Portal environments 
  • Incident and problem management

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology field strongly desired.
  • 3-5 years experience working with WebSphere Application Server and Portal environments
