ETL Architect/Developer
Description
o The primary function is providing support and solutions for a enterprise level data warehouse
o Maintains in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, and industry trends for ETL architecture
o Develops and maintains the ETL guidelines and guiding principles
o Ensures common application architectural frame work and patterns across the ETL Platform.
o Consults with key individuals across multiple projects regarding the usage and application of ETL architectural standards.
o Determines whether a variance from standards should be approved, recommended for approval, or rejected. Enforces and reports all variances as needed.
o Assumes a leadership role in ensuring that new and existing applications abide by current ETL architectural standards.
o Oversees the audits of proposed ETL designs to ensure adherence to current ETL architectural standards.
o Oversees the design and delivery of proof-of-concept for new or improved ETL technologies
Required Skills
o ETL Architect should know how to perform the following functions:
o Create and Support ETL design along with good documentation and communication Skills.
o Able to handle large volume of data and able to do performance tuning at
o Informatica and database level.
o Good at data warehousing life cycle and concepts.
o Understanding of 3NF and experience on data modeling
o Excellent experience Informatica
o Experienced in Unix shell scripting
o Excellent experience in Teradata Mload/Tpump/BTEQ and Teradata tuning.
o Experience in documenting technical source to target ETL design documents and BTEQ pseudo code specifications.
o Coach project ETL specialists on data acquisition techniques, decision rules and how to apply them
o 5 to 7 years in Informatica and Teradata
