Position Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Technical leadership role responsible for leading data warehouse Informatica ETL development projects.
* Responsible for the designing and building of Informatica ETL solutions.
* Functions as a mentor to junior ETL developers.
* Actively participates in project delivery translating requirements into solutions
* Mentor and provide care and feed for Architects in the respective region.
* Grow Informatica competency in the respective region, while working with Enterprise organization
Required Skills & Experience:
* 6+ Informatica Lead/Developer
* Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.1, Informatica PowerExchange, Oracle 11g, Toad, Knowledge of mainframe.
* Design reporting table extract and load logic using Informatica and ETL programming techniques
* Optimize performance of extraction logic, code, and data access
* Analyze database structures to meet customer data requirements
* Identify opportunities and constraints of existing application architecture
* Create impact analyses as required
* Create technical documentation content and templates.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
* Understands and implements Informatica 8.x best practices, tuning and optimization
* Expert skills in Informatica 8.x ETL
* Database Design / Performance Tuning Experience
* Relational Database Experience (ORACLE, DB2, SQL Server); DB2 Strongly Preferred
* ETL Design Experience (Program Specifications, Source_To_Target mappings, Data Flow Diagrams, etc)
* UNIX scripting desired
* Experience with extracting data from mainframe systems desired
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical details to senior management or less technical audience.
* Broad technology footprint experience (UNIX, MVS, multiple database platforms)
* SQL Experience / Performance Tuning
* Experience dealing with large data volume flow diagrams
