Position Description
  • Experience installing, upgrading, and configuring 3rd party packages – specifically HP Quality Center 11
  • Participate in initiate, analyze, design, and construction activities ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met
  • Utilize standard enterprise tools to develop or implement infrastructure hardware, software or other technical components
  • Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolves problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
  • Collaborate with team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes
  • Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
  • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.


Required Skills:
  • Skilled and Experienced Engineer in installing, upgrading and configuring HP’s Quality Center tool in customer’s environment.
  • Under environment limitations and Tool compatibility to produce quality design and solution.
  • Develop Archival & Purge solution for file/data handling by the tool.

“IT Developer –Shop Floor”

Position Description:
  • Under general direction, plans, conducts, and executes shop floor application development & production support to AE Manufacturing plants and
  • IT projects with significant magnitude and scope usually involving integration among diverse systems.


Principal Duties:
  • Creates design documents, as well as develops software for improvements to operating processes to fulfill business needs.
  • Participates in projects or system enhancements within time and budgetary constraints. Takes initiative to recommend projects, systems, or operational processes.
  • Performs shop floor system and server upgrades as needed on weekends and executes all conversion steps per plan and direction from team lead.
  • Supports AE Manufacturing plants on shop floor system as needed. The support is provided 24/7 by the team and shop floor developer will be required to carry pager /cell on weekends and holidays as per support rotation schedule.
  • Performs unit tests and system tests on new enhancements and projects. Documents all test cases in Quality Center.
  • Meets with IT functional/technical team members to review designs and prototypes.
  • Assist in plant launches and footprint changes as directed.
  • Status and Management reporting as directed by team lead and supervisors.

Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience doing Software Development and have worked on a shop floor, ERP and manufacturing execution system.
  • Experience with Automotive industry and hands-on work in designing, developing and implementing shop floor and MES systems using Sequencing, ILVS, RAN/DON and Batch processing.
  • Experience with Visual C++, MFC, C# .NET, Oracle databases, XML, XSL.
  • Familiarity with writing SQL statement and remote login to Windows server using Dameware and Remote Desktop.
  • Must have excellent communication, organization, documentation, co-coordinating and teamwork skills.
  • This candidate must be able to work independently and be very thorough and detail orientated in his / her deliverables.
  • Must have experience working on projects that have interactions with other application systems.
  • Experience with printing using Intemec printers, RF Scanners.
  • Must have strong English communication skills, speak clearly and concisely (in person and over the telephone) and write in clear and logical manner in English.
  • Extremely high level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems are very unusual and difficult
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies and SDLC methodologies like Agile and Waterfall
