Roles & Responsibilities:

• The person in this role would have responsibility for the following items:
• Being a conduit between the Development teams and Infrastructure to collect requirements for firewall rules
• Gathering requirements from the Development (or Application Owner) teams for firewall rules
• Maintaining Visio diagrams (using an existing standard template) that depicts the network flow of data between the applications and systems including what the applications talk to, the systems they run on, and the communication ports
• Coordinating meetings between Development teams and RAS team to review requirements and plan firewall rule implementations
• Maintaining and Submitting Requests for Change (RFCs) and Work Orders to the RAS team for implementation of the firewall rules including.
• Confirming Work Order acceptance by RAS(Remote Access Services)
• Confirming Work Order completion by RAS
• Confirming the Development partners can validate the implemented rules (i.e. can connect to appropriate applications and systems)

• Technical skills required for this role are –
• Knowledge on Unix & Linux
• Basic network knowledge & network Firewall
• Professional skills required for this role are –
• Familiar with Microsoft Visio and the creation of network / application diagrams
• Familiar with MS Office tools, especially MS Excel
• Good communication skills
